• How durable is it?

  The Nightstar Clear flashlight weighs only 308g. It is waterproof to 670m (equivalent pressure crush point 960 psi) and the housing is pure polycarbonate, which will never rust. Laboratory tests showed that repeated drops from a height of 1.2m onto a tile covered cement floor did not interrupt the operational abilities of the Nightstar Clear.
  
  The Nightstar Marine yellow flashlight weighs 312g and is waterproof to the same depth as the Nightstar Clear, with the added durability of a polycarbonate alloy housing which is difficult to break even at cold temperatures; and second, it is unaffected by salt water, mild acids, alcohol, methanol, and ammonia based cleaners. It is also corrosion resistant when briefly exposed to petroleum products such as gasoline, oil and grease. The NightStar Clear flashlights are not as chemical-resistant against petroleum products but have slightly higher impact strength.
  
  The Nightstar CS weighs 153g, and is waterproof to 49m. The Nightstar CS housing is pure polycarbonate, which is the same as the Nightstar Clear. The StarCore® LED used in all NightStar models will operate for more than 50,000 hours and is nearly unbreakable.
